Karl has worked in the Automotive, Personal Care and Recreational Products Industry for more than 25 years,  with focus on light metal and synthetic materials. His expertise lie  in Tooling, Process and Product  development in Europe, North America and Asia.    

Starting in 1995 he spent 11 years as General Manager and Vice President of Operations for TESMA International Inc. and Magna Powertrain Inc. in Canada. His responsibilities included global operations in Canada, US, Mexico, Korea, China and Europe. One focal point from his time at TESMA was the establishment of a successful Powertrain operation in Changzhou, China.

In 2006, Karl established “KAST-POWER Business Development” in Canada and was involved in the successful design and market launch of products like BionX IGH 3 (an Electric Drive System for a bicycle with integrated 3 speed transmission) and SeaScape 12, the world’s first Water Pedelec (Pedal-Electric-Boat).He also registered and opened a company in SIP, Suzhou for manufacturing and assembly of leisure products for export to Europe and North America.

Currently, Karl is using his Global Product and Process experience to assist businesses in Canada, Austria, Germany and Switzerland with finding partners for their products and services in Asia, Europe and North America.
