Officials of Enterprise Ireland recently visited New Tigers� China head office in Suzhou. Peter Coyle and EI officials of SME Scaling Division exchanged views of China business development strategy for Irish small and median sized ICT companies.
Mr Coyle indicated over 40 Irish software companies with an average turnover EUR20 million wish to outsource their programming and services in countries like China and India. China poses distinctive advantages in relation to attracting business from these Irish companies. Its low cost of programming from well educated software engineers, strong demand and market potentials for a variety of software products and improved protection measures on intellectual property rights. However, because of the culture difference between Ireland and China, the careful and hand-on management between partners from two countries are still required.
